stop rioting

Ferguson Missouri was once a quiet little city located near St. Louis.  Now it is a wreck with buildings smoldering from being caught on fire, people being robbed,  and windows smashed in many business buildings.  All of this happened because people cannot control their selves.  Officer Darren Wilson in August shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown.  Yesterday was the trial and the grand jury decided not to indict the police officer.  This is what sparked the rioting with people being outraged of the decision.  Reporters said the scene looked like a war zone, with riot police trying to control the ordeal.
There are other ways of getting your thoughts and words out to people rather than rioting and causing such a ordeal.  Braking windows and robbing stores is not a way of letting people know how you feel about the courts decision.  It only makes you look barbaric and honestly just stupid.  You are ruining other peoples livelihoods by destroying a families business and taking there goods.  To replace a store window is not cheap and to go around throwing rocks at them is just not right.  While police were their trying to control the scene people were throwing rocks and other items at them also.  This is just disrespectful to the people that are trying to protect you and help people in Ferguson that have been injured from all the shenanigans that were going on last night.

hazing goes to far

Nolan Burch was only 18 years old when he went into cardiac arrest at a frat house on the University of West Virginias campus.  Nolan was from Williamsville in western NY and attended Canisious highschool in Buffalo.  Everybody that knew Nolan said he was a very social and outgoing guy, very friendly.  This is not the first time a tragedy like this has happened at West Virginia which is one of the top party schools in the nation.

Why wont Obama call it invasion?

Thousands and thousands of Russian troops have crossed the Russian border into their neighbor state Ukraine.  With them they bring tanks, missiles, and anti air defense systems according to NATO's top commander.  As we speak, Russian continues to bring in more man power and supplies into Ukraine.  The Obama administration has not once called this act an invasion but instead an “ongoing Russian incursion.”  Why is this? Why is it that calling the ordeal a invasion such a big deal?  I've put two and two together and have come to a conclusion that the word invasion is a pretty dramatic word.  When Americans and other countries hear "invasion" they immediately think that they have to take some kind of action in order to stop it.

Results of the midterm

The midterm election was yesterday and the results are in... The republicans now control the senate and also can pin down the Obama administration for his next two years.  The GOP won the senate mainly because of some key wins in certain states.  Toss up states that were in the air for either group, were won by the republicans.  The GOP also got some key wins in Montana, South Dakota, Arkansas, West Virginia and North Carolina which were all recently democratic states.  With the republicans controlling the senate it is going to make president Obamas job very difficult.  Before, the democrats that had control of the senate would side with Obama but now the GOP will aggravate and disagree with lots of things that the president will want to do.

Who will be the top dog?

The midterm election is tomorrow and both parties see the election leaning towards the Republicans.  If the republicans win the senate then they will have the power to set the agenda in the Senate, something they haven’t been able to do in eight years.  Republicans today hold 45 house seats, if they are able to flip eight seats and hold their current seats then they will come up on top with a fifty-three seat majority.  Republicans have a 74 percent chance of winning the Senate, and that Democrats have just a 26 percent chance of holding on.  This is a pretty big percentage difference and it seems that the republicans will have no problem winning the house.  Now all the numbers seem to be leaning towards the Republicans but until the actual election day tomorrow we will not know who will come up on top.
