The patriots cheat AGAIN

This Sunday the New England Patriots will be playing in the Super Bowl.  I guess they allow cheaters to play in big games like the Super Bowl now.  The Patriots are a joke..  The organization is making a bad statement for the other NFL teams and of course for their own teams name.  Last week during the AFC championship game the New England Patriots played the Indianapolis Colts.  After the game the NFL did an investigation and had said that eleven of the game balls that were used during the game were deflated to below the legal amount of PSI.  NFL game balls must be inflated to between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch. 
    To most people that aren't to knowledgeable about football, deflating game balls doesn't seem like much of a big deal but it does make a huge impact during the game. The main difference during the game would be that it makes it much easier to both throw and catch the balls.  In the cold New England weather it makes it very difficult to do so because the leather gets hard.  This gives the Patriots a very big advantage in their passing game.  The patriots have been known to cheat in the past also.  In 2007 they were caught video taping another teams play calling.  This was a very childish and unprofessional move by the patriots which were fined a very large amount by the league for this immature act.  Obviously they didn't learn their lesson from a few years ago because they are back at it.  What kind of an example are the Patriots and the NFL setting for football fans?  To me this means that I can cheat my way through something and still get to where I want to be in my future plans.  There needs to be some kind of punishment for what the New England cheaters have done.

Terrorists in paris

Lately Paris has been under attack by terrorists.  Not only is America being taunted by these extremists, other country's are now being attacked and are being targeted.  These certain attackers are part of an extremist group called ISIS.  ISIS is a group that has been reeking havoc in nearly every part of the world.  They target everyone, doesn't mater if you are male, female, white, black, teenager, or even a new born baby.  In order for them to get their idea of what they call a "religion" out to people they will go too whatever extremes it takes.  This means killing children and terrorizing country's.  People say to not judge Islam, and that every Islamic person isn't a terrorist.  But every terrorist attack that has happened in the past is in the name of Islam.  The Islamic people need to start controlling their people and stopping these extremist from doing what they do.  They are doing nothing to control the problem, and then get mad when someone calls them a terrorist because of their religion.
    The United States needs to step up and deal with the situation at hand.  Being a world super power we have the power and the resources to stop these terrorist groups from causing more havoc.  I myself can not sit back while women and children are being tortured and killed, when a US ambassador is being beheaded and when our country is under attack by these low life extremists.

    I would personally feel safe traveling to Paris. Would I want too?  Probably not, but the fear of terrorism is causing people to be scared and worried about what is going to happen next.  In order for this to be fixed certain countries need to get together and counter these certain groups.

ferguson and riots

Officer Darren Wilson in August shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown.  When the incident happened people were outraged at the fact that the police officer went to trial and was not proven guilty.  Once people heard this they started to riot and get disrespectful.  The only reason they were rioting and causing a uproar is because that's all those people know how to do.  There are other ways to get your thoughts out.  Rioting is honestly stupid and just shows that you aren't intelligent enough to find other ways to try and get your justice.  The black community is the group that was so upset about the ordeal.   People need to realize that color has nothing to do with crime.  Black white purple yellow or green we are all the same, and just because a black boy gets shot by a policeman does not mean that he did it on purpose or is racist.  There have been many of crimes that have been committed to whites as blacks. 
    The whole point that im trying to get out here is the fact that rioting is pointless. To get in fights and rob stores during these riots does not make you look good.  You are trying to riot for a good cause, to get your thought out.  Not trying to hurt people and cause a big uproar with the police.

Government

The government does not solve the problem, the government is the problem.  This is the underlying belief behind the Republicans thinking.  Republicans think that the government should be small and that they should mine their own business.  On the other side of the mountain the democrats believe that the government is the solution to our problems.  The larger the government the better and the more people bossing you around is a good thing.

The Economy

Republicans believe that the government should let the people use their talents for them to be entrepreneurs and be successful in their future business.  Democrats on the other hand do not think that the people are smart enough and that running a business is too complicated for American citizens.

 

Americas Protection

Republicans believe that our nations defense is top priority.  Being able to protect our country and our citizens is the most important thing.  No matter what the cost is the United States should be and will remain the worlds only superpower.  republicans think that we need to stay the strongest military and not back down from a fight, hit them before they hit us.

In the past years democrats now want to start downsizing the military and also cutting costs.  Instead of war we should sit down at a table and have a nice peaceful conversation and negotiations about the issue at hand.



 Taxes

Republicans think that taxes should be cut low or none at all. All increases in taxes should be authorized by the people.  Certain government programs they think should be cut out because its a waste of the tax money. The Democrats believe that the government knows best, therefore if the government wants to increase a tax or add a new tax then it is completely okay with them.

 

Immigration

America is a country of opportunity, being a world superpower and one of the greatest countries people are going to want to come to the US of A.  Republicans do not mind if people come but what they do mind is when the come and bring their drugs, and crime with them.  Borders need to be secured more to insure the safety of our current US citizens.  Democrats believe in open doors, let everyone in so they can see what America is about.

 

These are the many differences of Republicans and Democrats.  These two parties are what separates our government today and the reason for so much bickering.  If only these two parties could get along then maybe just maybe the government will start to fall back in place.





Everyone at NC is sick

It seems to be that half of our school is sick with the flu or some kind of cold.  We had off yesterday due to illness.  The problem was that there weren't enough teachers that were able to stay in school and teach.  Without enough teachers there would be no way for classes to be held since there are not enough substitutes to make up for the teachers that are out.  Even the JV basketball game on Wednesday was canceled because half of the team was out sick, luckily the boys varsity team did not fall victim to the sickness therefore the game was still on.  I think that one day off was great for the students and teachers that were sick to have a extra day of rest.  Just being able to get the extra sleep and relax all day helps getting rid of a bad cold.  Luckily myself, I have not fallen to what the students call the NCplague.  I have a little sniffle but luckily that is all.  There's not much you can do to stay healthy when more than half of your school is sick but try your best to wash your hands plenty of times or use the hand sanitizer machines that are placed around the school.  So remember to wash your hands real good, don't touch any door knobs, stay away from people coughing, and drink your orange juice to keep you away from the sniffles.

Three Marines help woman being robbed

A Marine recruiting office is right across the street from a shopping mall.  Just recently a lady was getting ready to get in her car after a peaceful day of shopping when she was approached by two would be robbers, that pointed a gun at her.  When the two men approached her she screamed and her screams were heard by the United States Marines that were right across the street sitting in their office.  The robbers fled the scene when they saw the Marines running after them.  Later after a very short foot chase the Marines apprehended the crooks.  The Marines said that when they caught up to the gunman that they weren't going to tackle them because they could not get their dress blues dirty.  Instead they grabbed them and immediately put them in a arm bar until the police arrived.  The Robbers were armed with a handgun but this seemed to not intimidate the very brave Marines.  Reporters asked the Marines why would you chase after them knowing that they were armed.  The Marines simply responded with "It is our job, we are used to it."  Not only are these great men serving our country over seas they are also keeping good people safe in our own backyards.  The worst thing that could of possibly happened to those no life robbers would have been running into a United States Marine.  Bad luck for them but good luck for the lady that was being robbed, the Marines could have saved her life.  Semper Fidelis

Things get crazy in Columbus

After Ohio state won there first college title in school history last night the fans in Columbus started to get a little rowdy.  The Buckeyes beat Oregon 42-20 in a good well fought game.  Near the campus fans and spectators came rolling out of the bars and parties.  Nearly a thousand fans were starting to hang out near the stadium before police could push them away.  Police cruisers lined the streets and kept an eye on all the fans.  Most fans were just excited that there school had won the game and weren't looking for any harm to come to anyone.  About two hours after the game police said that the fans started to clear out of the streets.  I don't think that any of the fans meant to hurt anyone or cause trouble, they were just so excited after there school had just won the biggest college game that has been played all year.  Nobody was hurt or arrested in the incident last night.

Fifth oldest person in the world dies

The oldest person living in the state of Massachusetts has died at the age of 115.  Bernice Emerson Madigan was the fifth oldest person in the world, she was born in Springfield in 1899 and moved to Cheshire Massachusetts in 1906.  Madigan got a job at the U.S. treasury and moved to silver spring, Maryland where she lived most of her life until 2007 when she moved back to Cheshire.  Her husband died in 1976, they had no children.  many people would ask her what she does to keep healthy and stay alive that long.  She says she always has a positive attitude.  She would eat a good healthy breakfast every morning and the most surprising one to me is a glass of wine every day.  One hundred and fifteen years is a long time to live and it seems pretty much impossible.  Bernice lived through three different centuries which only a very few people have ever been able to physically do.

NFL teams trying out new helmet cams

Certain teams in the NFL and in college level football have been trying out a new device called the helmet cam.  This helmet cam gives the viewers watching a POV view of the action.  When the camera is attached to for example a quarterback the viewers are now able to see the what the QB is looking at and how he sees the field.  It brings watching a football game to a whole new level, normally people don't know what goes on in a quarterbacks head or what he sees on a field.  Now viewers will be able to see him call out certain plays, pick out the mike and other key defensive players that could blitz, and just in general see what he's seeing on the field.  It also helps the coaching staff get a new perspective of how there players play and act on the field.  The coaching staff will get the experience of the game in there players perspective.  Currently there is no word on when this cool and very high tech technology will come out.  This could bring watching football to a totally new level.

Retired cop and veteran has guns taken away from him

Donald Montgomery is a very decorated retired police officer in the state of New York for 30 years.  Montgomery is also a U.S. Navy veteran, after he took a trip to the hospital where he sought treatment for a sleeping problem, Montgomery was stripped of his 2nd Amendment rights and has had his guns taken away from him.  Thanks to governor Cuomo the SAFE act was introduced to New York after the Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut.  The law had very little public debate and was passed by lawmakers in New York State.  Montgomery's lawsuit says that he was no physical harm to the public nor to himself.  I think that it is ridiculous that this man had his guns taken away from him.  Not only is it his right to own these weapons it is unconstitutional to take them away from him.  Montgomery has done no harm to anybody his whole life. Not only did he serve his community well, he also served his Country in order to keep the right to bear arms.  For the government to knock on his door and confiscate his weapons is absurd.
