The 2014 midterm elections is going to be a close one.

The next senate is said to be most likely run by republicans.  There are safe republican states that will most likely stay as red states.

  1. How is a seat determined to be safe by the respective parties? How close do you think the mid-term elections will be?

  2. Are there any states that are not predictable? If so, which ones are they?

    1. Yes Mr. Tripi there are some states that aren't predictable. North Carolina, New Hampshire, Georgia, Iowa, and Colorado are just a few of the states that they call "toss up" states. This means that the votes could swing any way, either Democratic or Republican. I hope this helped you out, if you have any other questions don't be afraid to ask.

    1. There are many more states that are considered to be safe republican state. There aren't as many Democratic states that are safe. Even with certain states being safe states, this means nothing, the votes could turn the other way and the democrats could then be more likely to run the senate.
